iPhone 17 Pro Max
The largest battery and a 2TB option in the plateau-era Pro Max.
Overview
The 17 Pro Max shares the plateau design, aluminum body and cooling system of the 17 Pro and adds a 6.9-inch display and a thicker, longer-lasting battery. Apple rated it at up to 39 hours of video playback, a record for an iPhone at the time.
The camera system matches the smaller Pro: a 48-megapixel Fusion main camera, a 48-megapixel ultra wide and a 48-megapixel 4x telephoto that can also deliver an 8x optical-quality crop. The 18-megapixel Center Stage front camera and Dual Capture let creators record with both sides of the phone together.
It is the only iPhone of the 2025 generation offered with 2TB of storage, and the A19 Pro chip and N1 networking chip support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The phone launched at $1,199 with 256GB.
Why it mattered
It was the longest-lasting iPhone at its launch and the first to offer a 2TB model.
