Apple's long run of fall hardware launches is about to end with two home products. According to MacRumors, the all-new HomeView smart home hub and the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K are both set to be released on Friday, November 13.
MacRumors, which published the report on November 6, says the pair will close out a launch wave in which Apple has announced more than 25 new devices and accessories since late August. The outlet adds that no other major hardware releases are expected for the remainder of the year.
What the two products are
HomeView is Apple's new smart home hub. MacRumors describes it as a device with a 7-inch square display, an A18 chip and support for the company's Siri AI features. The hub was announced on October 13, and orders have been open since then.
The new Apple TV 4K was announced the same day. MacRumors' summaries of that announcement say it uses an A19 chip, supports Siri AI and comes with an updated Siri Remote that works with Find My's Precision Finding. The same summaries mention built-in far-field microphones and surround sound support using four HomePods, set up as front and rear pairs.
What we don't know yet
The MacRumors report does not cite an Apple newsroom post or press release for the November 13 date, and it does not state prices. Cupertino News has not independently confirmed the release date with Apple, so buyers who want to be sure should check the order status on Apple's online store and the product pages for each device.
If the date holds, the two releases arrive just ahead of the holiday shopping stretch, when Apple has also extended its return window for purchases made from November 6 through December 25, with returns accepted until January 8, 2027, as MacRumors reported earlier this week.
For people who already own a HomePod or HomePod mini, the Apple TV 4K's reported four-speaker surround setup is the detail most likely to matter. Apple has not yet been quoted on how many of its existing speakers will work in that configuration, so details may become clearer once the products reach customers and Apple's support pages are updated.
