Apple's first home hub with a 7-inch screen and speaker base.
Overview
HomeView is Apple's first smart display and the central device of its 2026 home push. A 7-inch square Liquid Retina screen sits on a speaker base with two full-range drivers and a down-firing woofer. A wall-mounted version, which drops the woofer, is also offered for people who prefer to hang it.
The A18 chip handles the interface while four microphones provide far-field Siri, and a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera keeps a user in the frame during FaceTime calls. Each household member can set up a personal Home Screen with apps and widgets, and the device recognises up to six people.
It runs on Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6, plus Thread, and can show many camera feeds at once. Sound Recognition, multiroom AirPlay audio and Dolby Atmos playback are included. Preorders opened on 13 October with delivery on 13 November in the United States and several other countries.
