iPhone 16 Pro
A bigger 6.3-inch display, A18 Pro and a 48MP ultra wide camera.
Overview
The 16 Pro stretched its display to 6.3 inches by trimming bezels, making it the largest Pro of the standard-size line. It was powered by the A18 Pro, a chip with a faster GPU and more memory bandwidth, built for Apple Intelligence and demanding games, along with an improved thermal design for sustained performance.
The camera was reworked as well. The ultra wide sensor jumped to 48 megapixels, the telephoto lens offered 5x optical zoom on the smaller Pro for the first time, and the new Fusion main camera supported 4K video at 120 frames per second in Dolby Vision, with slow motion options after capture. Camera Control worked with all of them.
Studio-quality microphones with wind noise reduction, a titanium frame in a new Desert Titanium color and Wi-Fi 7 completed the package. Storage started at 128GB.
Why it mattered
It extended the 5x telephoto and 4K 120 fps video to both Pro sizes and made the 48MP ultra wide a Pro feature.
