Apple has detailed how customers can pay for and accessorise the iPhone Duo as pre-orders open today, October 16, at 5 a.m. PT on apple.com and in the Apple Store app. According to an updated Apple Newsroom post, buyers can choose home delivery or pickup at a local Apple Store.

Trade-in and payment options

Apple says eligible iPhone 13 or later models can receive instant trade-in credit ranging from $175 to $885, which can also reduce monthly payments. Through the Apple Upgrade programme, which is run with Klarna, customers can choose a 12- or 24-month lease; Apple lists a 24-month lease from $57.99 per month, before taxes and trade-in credit. Apple Card Monthly Installments are offered at 0% APR in the U.S., with 3% Daily Cash earned up front.

Apple also points to carrier offers from AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, with credits of up to $1,200 for customers trading in an iPhone 14 Pro Max or later.

Accessories and services

Two first-party accessories are listed: the iPhone Duo Folio, in navy blue or taupe with an adjustable kickstand, and the iPhone Duo Case, in sand or navy blue, which uses a two-part protective design. Apple says both work with MagSafe, Qi2 25W and Qi chargers.

AppleCare+ and AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss are available in supported markets. Apple also lists AppleCare One, which in the Individual plan covers two additional devices at the same monthly price as AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss, and a Family plan in the U.S. covering eligible products across a Family Sharing group. New and qualified returning subscribers who buy an iPhone Duo can get three months of Apple One free.

What the phone offers

Apple describes the iPhone Duo as its foldable iPhone, with an inner display 50% larger than that of the iPhone 18 Pro Max and a 5.4-inch outer display. It is powered by the A20 Pro chip with a dual-battery design, carries 48-megapixel Fusion Main and Ultra Wide cameras, and comes in star white and night sky. It has IP68 resistance and runs iOS 27, with Split View on the inner display.

Apple notes that Siri AI is in beta and starts in English. It is not available in China, is not initially available in the EU, and is not offered to users under 13.

Setup help

Apple Specialists can assist with setup, payment options, trade-in and data transfer through Personal Setup, and free Today at Apple sessions include one titled "Say Hello to iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo."

The newsroom post does not state the base price, which Apple has previously announced as starting at $1,999.
