First iPhone Duo teardowns show two battery cells totaling 4,883 mAh, MacRumors reports
The first teardown videos of the iPhone Duo have appeared, giving an early look at what Apple packed inside its foldable, according to MacRumors.
The videos come from two YouTube channels, Phone Repair Guru and REWA Technology. Both show that the phone carries two separate battery cells, which is a consequence of the folding design. According to MacRumors, the larger cell is rated at 2,962 mAh (11.56 Wh) and the smaller at 1,921 mAh (7.5 Wh), for a combined 4,883 mAh. The cells can reportedly be released with electrically activated adhesive, the same kind of pull-tab approach Apple has used to make battery replacement easier on other recent devices.
