iPhone 15 Plus
A large 6.7-inch iPhone 15 with all-day-and-more battery life.
Overview
The 15 Plus gave buyers the big-screen experience of a Pro Max without the Pro price. It shared the iPhone 15's A16 Bionic chip, 48-megapixel main camera and Dynamic Island, and added a 6.7-inch display and a battery rated at up to 26 hours of video playback.
USB-C replaced Lightning, so the phone could use the same cable as a MacBook or iPad, and it could also deliver a small amount of charge to accessories such as AirPods. The back glass was infused with color and the aluminum frame had contoured edges for a softer feel.
Storage started at 128GB, and the Plus-size format carried on into the iPhone 16 generation before the iPhone Air offered a different take on a large, light phone.
Why it mattered
It added USB-C and the Dynamic Island to the large mid-priced iPhone and led directly to the 16 Plus.
