iPhone 18 Pro Max
The 6.9-inch Pro with the variable aperture and up to 45 hours of video.
Overview
The 18 Pro Max is the largest and longest-lasting iPhone Apple has made. A 6.9-inch ProMotion display sits above a battery that Apple rated at up to 45 hours of video playback and 30 hours of typical use, and fast charging can add about seven hours of video playback in five minutes.
It shares the 18 Pro's 2-nanometer A20 Pro with a 40 percent faster GPU, the larger vapor chamber, and the camera upgrades: a variable-aperture 48MP Fusion main camera with six blades, a 48MP ultra wide and a 48MP telephoto with a 4x lens that also produces an 8x crop. Cinematic mode can be adjusted after capture at up to 60 fps.
The phone starts at $1,299 with 256GB and goes to 2TB. It runs iOS 27 with a new-generation Siri, supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and satellite features, and relies on eSIM alone for service.
Why it mattered
It raised the bar for battery life, with a rating about six hours higher than the 17 Pro Max.
