MacBook Air (15-inch, M5, 2026)
The large Air gets the M5 chip, 512 GB and Wi-Fi 7.
Overview
The 15-inch Air for 2026 follows the same formula as the 13-inch model. Its 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display, thin fanless body and large trackpad are unchanged, while the M5 chip brings an up-to-ten-core GPU with Neural Accelerators and faster memory.
Storage starts at 512 GB and can go to 4 TB, with 16 GB of memory as the minimum. The N1 wireless chip supplies Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports allow up to two external displays.
Apple claims up to 18 hours of battery life, and the laptop is offered in four colors.
Why it mattered
Keeps the large Air current with the M5 generation and a higher storage baseline.
