iPad Pro 13-inch (M4)
The thinnest Apple product ever, in the large size.
Overview
The 13-inch M4 iPad Pro slimmed down to 5.1 mm, which made it thinner than any Apple product before it, and trimmed more than 100 grams compared with the preceding 12.9-inch Pro. The weight drop is the result of the aluminum shell, the reworked internal layout and the replacement of mini-LED with a two-layer OLED stack.
Its Ultra Retina XDR display runs at 2752 x 2064 and shares the 1,000-nit full-screen and 1,600-nit HDR peak levels of the 11-inch version. The M4 chip, 8 GB or 16 GB of memory and the Pencil Pro experience are identical to the smaller model.
The larger body holds a 38.99 Wh battery for about ten hours of use. A nano-texture glass option reduced glare on the 1 TB and 2 TB versions, which appealed to photographers and illustrators working in bright rooms.
Why it mattered
Showed that a large professional tablet could be remarkably light, and was thinner than any Apple product before it.
