MacBook Pro (16-inch, M4 Pro / M4 Max, 2024)
The largest MacBook Pro, with M4 Max graphics and a 24-hour battery.
Overview
The big M4 MacBook Pro was designed for sustained heavy loads such as 3D rendering, video editing and machine-learning development. The M4 Max configuration reached a 16-core CPU, 40-core GPU and 128 GB of unified memory, with M4 Pro covering the middle of the range.
Three Thunderbolt 5 ports, HDMI, an SD card slot and MagSafe 3 handled connectivity, and a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera faced the user. The display included an optional nano-texture finish, and the battery lasted up to 24 hours of video playback.
The model remained current until March 2026, when the M5 Pro and M5 Max versions took over.
